Obviously the people I don't know on here have no idea as to what I'm talking about. I'm engaged to Travis Wilber of the United States Army, 101st Airborne Unit. He deployed today for his first tour of Iraq. Currently he's on his way off to a two week training course in Kuwait. After his two weeks in Kuwait are up, he'll then be shipped off to Iskandariyah, Iraq.
His tour is set for fifteen months, but it's a known fact around here that U.S. Army Chief of Staff General George Casey is going to push for their tour of Iraq to be shortened. He wants the length of deployment shortened for these men and I hope he succeeds in his planning. It'd mean the world to me if Travis came home early.
I think it's actually going to happen too. My mother is big on being able to predict things about people. She's very intuitive and very in connection with the world around her. Myself and she have had a gut feeling since we found out when they were leaving that they weren't going to be over there for the alloted fifteen months, so I'm truly hoping that General George Casey can come through with his wishes and send the boys of the 101st home safe and early.
That's all for now. Always,
Moriah Michelle
